May was a little bit of a crazy month. I finally received the payout of my insane sale on the US marketplace. Someone purchased my design 115 times and the strange thing about it, was that it’s really just a blue circle. Believe it or not….someone paid $9.50 (just for the design) for a blue circle. How crazy is that? 😉
May continued it’s normal trend and it became apparent that the upward trend of the first few months was not going to hold. Overall my sales performance on Spreadshirt is now sub-par compared to last year. The results may be skewed though due to the EURO 2016 last year in France. Either way, it’s nothing to get worried about yet, but I need to keep an eye on it.
In more positive news, I’ve noticed and upward trend on Merch by Amazon despite barely having invested any time. There’s A LOT of potential there and I will likely be investing a lot more time in the coming months.
Year-on-Year Performance on Spreadshirt
Based on my own sales tracking, May saw EU gross sales increase by 0.9% versus the previous month (down by 65.1% on the US marketplace – this was to be expected) and 26.6% lower than the same period last year.
NOTE: Please remember that the above numbers are based on live sales tracking throughout the month, while the earnings reported in the table below are actual cashflow movements. Most of the sales I generate have a delayed payout.
